I do not rise for myself, I am not afraid for my children.
I am a white woman, living a life that I love, with a husband who supports me, who respects women and all that we do.
My children have parents who love them regardless of who they uncover within themselves, and extended family and friends that love and support them beyond measure.
My concern is for the children, middle and high school children in particular.
The youth that are finally being accepted and supported in so many ways to be who they want to be, who they are.
My concern is for the children who have parents that are empowered by the hateful words, the judgement, the fear, the darkness.
The concern that they bring this to school and are empowered to say and do mean and hurtful things to their peers.
The concern that these same children are building a wall. A wall of fear, of protection, of anxiety, of hate.
That they will spend these formative years, these already confusing, emotional years leading into adulthood, being knocked down.
My concern is for our future generations and what will happen to their earth.
This living, breathing entity that supports them.
My concern is for the women who have husbands that just needed that little extra push to abuse them more, to degrade them more, to over power them more.
My concern is for the women, men and children of every race, creed and color that now have to withstand increased judgement, racism, bigotry.
My concern is for the ripple effect. Hate breeds hate. Judgement breeds judgement.
I respond for them.
These marches are for the support of all of humanity.
Not the privileged Americans.
We have so many hurting on our own soil.
We have so many that need us now.
Love breeds Love.
Act first at home.
Act in your town.
Teach the youth around you.
Accept them for who they are.
Show them love.
The more acceptance that we give, the more it will spread.
The more compassion that we share, the further it will ripple.
We lead by example.
Teach our youth love, empathy, acceptance of all of their brothers and sisters.
Give them Love so they can share that Love.
Let the fear, anger and anxiety slip away.
These puppet masters have been in control all along.
We are fortunate enough for them to show their faces.
To come to the surface.
They no longer hide behind those that keep us complacent.
This term is the behind the scenes look at what has been running our government.
How fortunate are we that we now have this opportunity to see through a clear lens.
We are given this opportunity to come together.
To unite as one people.
To LOVE stronger.
To rise up together.
This is our chance to heal our country.
And it won’t be easy.
And we can’t be lazy.
But imagine what we can do if we all work together.
It is through love, kindness, acceptance, compassion, uniting, that WE can make America greater than it ever was.
In Love and Peace,
